What Is PhraseBoard?

PhraseBoard (formerly PhraseKeyboard) is a productivity app that lets you manage frequently used phrases in its main app and insert them with one tap from a custom iOS keyboard. Because phrases can be called up directly from the keyboard in any app—messages, email, forms—there is no more switching apps to hunt for text to copy.

Main Features

• Category organization and ordering: Classify phrases by purpose—"Greetings," "Addresses," "Reply templates"—and place frequently used ones at the top. Toggle categories on and off to tidy up without deleting; re-enable them with one tap whenever needed.
• Constants and smart tags: Use "{{constant}}"-style constants to swap parts of a phrase with shared values, and combine smart tags that automatically insert dates and times. The home screen also shows the expanded values.
• Long-press menu: Copy a phrase, copy its expanded form, or duplicate and edit it—all from a long press. Copied phrases are also handy for pasting on a Mac.
• PC sending (Koyomi-Link integration): Link with the Windows app "Koyomi-Link" to send phrases selected on your iPhone directly to the active input field on your PC. Choose between "key input," "copy and paste," and "copy only." The integration is free to use.
• Pro features: Sync across devices via iCloud, and bulk import/export via CSV.

How to Use

• 1. Open the main app and register your frequently used text as phrases. Creating categories makes them easier to find later.
• 2. In iOS Settings > General > Keyboard, add PhraseBoard as a new keyboard and enable "Allow Full Access."
• 3. In any text field, long-press the globe icon to switch to PhraseBoard, then tap the phrase you want to insert.

FAQ and Notes

Is granting Full Access safe?

Full Access is required to use all features, such as reflecting your custom ordering and PC integration. PhraseBoard is designed with privacy in mind and does not improperly collect what you type—Full Access is used only for managing your registered phrases and for the integration features.

Isn't switching keyboards a hassle?

Due to how iOS works, you switch between your regular keyboard and PhraseBoard. Once you are used to long-pressing the globe icon, input becomes very efficient.

Pricing and supported OS

The app itself is a free download on the App Store, and the core features—registering phrases and entering them from the keyboard—are free to use. Pro features such as iCloud sync and bulk CSV import/export are offered as a one-time in-app purchase. It supports iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later and iPad running iPadOS 17.0 or later.
